We’ve always got cars either up for sale or being prepared for sale in our workshop. If you don’t see anything you like below, it doesn’t mean we don’t have the right car for you. Keep an eye on this page as all vehicles ready for sale will be listed here.

Being “Essex Mustang Centre”, we usually stick to classic American Ford Mustangs, however we sometimes break the pattern and stock different classic cars too. We usually have around three to six classic Ford Mustangs for sale even if they aren’t yet listed on this page. Only fully completed vehicles get listed here.

SOLD: “Anna” 1965 Ford Mustang 289 V8 Auto Coupe

We are pleased to offer for sale this well presented 1965 V8 Auto coupe. The body is vintage burgundy with a beautiful black interior. Freshly imported from Texas she comes with upgraded 4V carburettor adding an extra 30HP. She has power steering and wooden Shelby style steering wheel. The interior has been totally restored with new paint to all metalwork and reupholstered seats back and front. SOLD: “Lisa” 1966 Ford Mustang 289 V8 Auto Coupe

Lisa is a 1966 V8 Auto Coupe, finished in bright red with contrasting graphite grey Shelby stripes.  She wears refurbished Magnum 500 wheels with brand new Pirelli tyres all round. To finish off the sporty look on the exterior, a set of factory fitted rocker panel mouldings have been fitted. Under the hood is finished in satin black and the engine wears Cobra aluminium rocker covers and Edelbrock air filter sitting on a four barrel carburettor adding approximately 35-40 HP. SOLD: “Ellen” 1965 Ford Mustang Resto-Mod Eleanor Tribute V8 Auto Coupe

We are pleased to offer for sale this 1965 Ford Mustang Coupe. Finished in the style of the classic film car from "Gone in 60 Seconds" Eleanor! SOLD: “Stefanie” 1966 Ford Mustang 289 Auto Coupe

So here we are again back in 1966. Born this year was Stefanie, a V8 Auto Mustang finished in bright red with black interior. 1966 was the first face lift year with a new slatted grill replacing the ’65 honey comb grill, the centre coral losing its side bars and the side quarter trims were enlarged and now had three forward facing fingers. Inside, all cars now had the GT dash with round centre mounted speedo with gas, water temperature, amp meter and oil pressure gauges. Door cards and seats were also slightly modified. SOLD: “Samantha” 1965 Ford Mustang 289 Auto Fastback

2014 is the Fiftieth  anniversary of the iconic Mustang and nothing congers up the feel of the early sixties like a 1964/65 Mustang Fastback.  Released along side its sibling sister the Mustang Coupe, it was way ahead of its time in term of design and styling, therefore as you would expect, good examples of the early car are now fetching a premium, and are sure to rise in 2014 - the Golden Anniversary year. SOLD: “Iris” 1965 Ford Mustang 289 Auto Fastback

It's March 3rd 1965 and in England it had been -6 degrees centigrade overnight.  By lunchtime it was snowing the temperature not getting above 0.  Meanwhile in Los Angeles California it was 71 degrees Fahrenheit and the sun was shining in down town LA. A Ford dealership is readying another Mustang for collection by its new owner,  this one being a Fastback A code car.  At 1pm, the owner takes the keys, fires her up and drives off into the Californian sunshine, driving what was to become a piece of automotive history. SOLD: “Angelina”1966 Mustang Green Coupe V8 Anniversary Edition

2014 is a landmark year for Ford, for it was on the 17th April 1964 at the Worlds Fair that Ford unveiled to the world the Mustang.  Originally Ford forecast sales of 100,00 in the first year of production - that figure was blown away, with the dealers selling 20,000 on the first day.  Going on to sell more than 300,000 in the first model year of 1964 . SOLD: “Kate” 1965 Mustang Red Coupe V8

On the 17th April 1964, Ford showcased at the Worlds Fair what was to become their biggest seller since the Model T - the all new Mustang.  To become know as the pony car.  All cars built up to 17th August were know as 64 and half, as back in the '60s new models were show cased in Oct/Nov ready for the January release. SOLD: 1966 Mustang Coupe Project Car V8 Auto

This 1966 Mustang project car as seen in the video starts, runs, drives and stops. She requires body work all round including passenger front chassis rail, rear wheel arches and drop off panels in the trunk. The rocker panels(sills) are solid and new floor pans have been fitted but require welding. The interior is in good useable condition having no rips or tears.  Under the hood would require tidying and an engine tune up.
